Living from a perspective of gratitude creates possibility.
Why do we so often worry about what we don’t have rather than work hard at and develop what we do have? I am one to let ridiculous things stand in my way and I have more than enough everything to accomplish all my dreams and hopes.
Richie Parker is unstoppable.
There isn’t anything I can’t do, there are just things I haven’t done yet.
Richie may not have arms, but he has more than most of us have:
- Freakishly amazing attitude
- Possibility mindset
- Perseverance
- Discipline
- Ability to say ‘how can I?‘ instead of ‘I can’t‘ when obstacles arise
- Vision to move past
- Ability to live up to who he truly is, not how the world defines him
I must stop listening to people who say I can’t do something, especially when it is me.
Learning how to truly see how amazing you are, even with your defects and faults, and then living out your purpose is what each of us is supposed to do. Obstacles are meant to be overcome, not shrunk away from.
This is awesome! I have a nephew born with no arms (http://contemplativefitness.me/2011/09/22/a-boy-and-his-wings/)
I am going to share this with he, and his parents!
I hope they find it encouraging!!
