Two years ago I negotiated with Santa Claus for just one ab instead of all six. Apparently I wasn’t as good of a woman as I thought I was since not a single ab appeared on Christmas morning.
Abs don’t come from Santa Claus, they are made in the kitchen…but wouldn’t it be nice if Santa could deliver such things?
Fitmas is hard work.
Training your abdominals and core muscles is an important part of a training program. You also don’t want to overtrain them. Like any muscle group, they should get hit hard once a week and then trained in secondary ways as you train other body parts.
- Let’s crunch them good this week!
Six Abs Crunching.
I came across this fun workout community called Tribe Sports. There are bazillions of challenges and fun people on the site. You create and account and start trying out different challenges to see what you like to do.
Virtual arse kickings are the best.
This week’s challenge is a core workout I found on the site which looks like it will turn laughing into a painful venture.
Bring it on!
Always make sure to warm up well. Take 10 minutes to jog on the treadmill, go on the elliptical, or bike. Do some active stretching and make sure your whole body is warmed up before you start training.

The Get In Shape Girl’s healthy eating tip for week six.
Just a bit more on insulin this week. Insulin requires to much blood sugar to be transported from the blood (spikes blood sugar) and leaves your insulin and blood sugar levels to drop rapidly. This leaves you tired and hungry and most likely craving something else high in sugar to bring your levels back up. This turns into a roller coaster ride of rapid spikes and drops.
We like riding roller coasters, but having your body be on one day in and day out isn’t healthy and it won’t help you accomplish your goals!
Thanks for including my giveaway!!
I think I will join in with these challenges.
I have been working on abs hard lately too and am desperately hoping for some for Christmas!
