Active Recovery? Don’t You Mean Martini?

I used to think active recovery was the motion your arm made when you lifted the glass with the fun umbrella in it to your mouth while laying on a sandy beach somewhere in the Caribbean.

Then I started bodybuilding.

Turns out it is a way to keep your muscles growing while letting your central nervous system recharge.

Personally, I like my first thought on the subject much better than what it actually is.

My fellow Bobette, Kari at Figure Girl World, makes much more sense than I do on many things, including active recovery workouts. Read and watch more about it in her debut Fitnessrxmag.com video blog.

Such good information and fabulous arms!

And she’s one week out from Team Universe where she is competing for her Pro Card. If you are in the NJ area, go watch her clean up and cheer for in person!

Do you drink martinis*ahem* do active recovery workouts?
