“Be greater than yesterday.”
I am about halfway through Apolo Ohno’s Book, Zero Regrets.
It is more than an autobiography. It is peering into the mind of how a champion is built and developed.
Needless to say, I am enjoying it.
So many of us want a more fulfilling life, but we sit on the front porch sipping our coffee, wondering when the mailman is going to drop it by.
Sitting on the porch in my comfy rocking chair watching the world pass me by is no longer an option. Champions aren’t born, they are developed from the inside out. What I am growing and feeding on the inside, for better or worse, will show up and shape my outside.
I’m choosing better.
I have audacious dreams and am chasing them down with my whole being.
Little by little, day by day, I am developing into the champion that I was born to be.
- What are you waiting for the mailman to deliver on life’s doorstep?
- How can you be better tomorrow and the day after and the day after that?
Life is full of good things, but don’t let the good crowd out the great.
You were made for more, so go out and get it.
Soooo glad you’re enjoying the book. I actually downloaded the audio book so I could listen to it while driving sometimes. (We do that a lot in L.A.!) It’s so inspiring and his journey parallels a figure journey in many aspects, I believe. YAY for Apolo and his motivation! Have a great week!
I am loving it. LOVING it…I have so much to learn though!!
Felt like this post was written for me 😛 I am taking the bull by its horns
this book is now on my “pick up list”
and I am making those positive changes to get ym life back in order….I think a move back to Toronto is in the works too.
With everything you are going through and all you have already accomlished, you are already a champion. In my book anyway!
I do doubt myself at times but I’m much better than I used to be. I’ve accepted myself and learned to be proud of what I’ve done. There’s a never ending world out there for us, we just have to go get it!!
Believe and tell ourselves what is possible.
