This morning I am sitting in my office with a cup of coffee and my thoughts about 2012. Half packed bags for our trip to my in-laws later today are spilling into the living room and it is almost time to eat breakfast, pack up, and hit the road.
While sipping on my coffee and making my final packing list for this morning, I realized something profound.
During my 15 years of adulthood, I have never, ever written a Christmas letter and mailed it out.
I love getting Christmas letters in the mail from friends and family, but I myself have never crafted one to send out.
- I won’t even craft one blog-style.
If you have read the blog at all, you will know more about me than I would put into a Christmas letter anyway. Its hard to move from ‘full disclosure’ to ‘Christmas overview’.
I will be spending time with friends and family in Saskatchewan where my husband grew up. Long underwear, woolly socks, adventure, reading, planning, and resting along with more love than I will know what to do with will fill my week.
Receive a lot, but give even more.
No matter how little you have, you have more than someone else in the world. Change the world this Christmas by loving and helping the people in front of you.
It will be the best Christmas you’ve ever had. I promise.
I simply wish love, joy, and peace to invade your soul and change you for the better this Christmas season.
