Indulge!

It’s true…I have been known to indulge now and again, even though I am on a VERY strict diet. 130 grams of protein, 110 grams of carbs, and 25 grams of fat per day doesn’t leave a lot of wiggle room for treats…but if you’re creative enough, you can find a way!

Shhhh! Don’t tell anyone, this HAS to be our little secret.  Ok?

A woman just can’t live without a fabulous treat here and there.  The key is to savor them when you have them.  Recognize that for the next few moments you are enjoying something that doesn’t come around all the time.  I suppose that is why it’s called an indulgence.

My absolute favorite indulgence is a square of smooth, rich dark chocolate with a tablespoon of natural peanut butter.

Peanut Butter and Chocolate

Mmmmm....the most glorious of all treats for a Figure Competitor.

I *heart* peanut butter.  SIGH.

It tastes fabulous, can fit into my food requirements for the day, and won’t increase my dreaded muffin top or make my arms any more happy than they already are.  Pure bliss!

While training for the Figure Competition, I have learned to not take treats and rest time for granted.  When they come around, I try to take time to embrace them and enjoy them.

And before you start to eat your fabulous square of dark chocolate and natural peanut butter, HIDE THE REMAINING CHOCOLATE AND PEANUT BUTTER FROM YOURSELF.  Otherwise there’s no telling what may happen!
