Survey Says…Bedazzled Bikini!

‘So if you can do this, you can pretty much do anything.  Right?

This is currently my favorite response so far to my declaration that I will be competing in a Figure Competition.  Yes.  If I can do this, I can do anything.

Doing this requires a bedazzled bikini and I don’t know where to even start….so I’m officially asking for help.

A very fabulous woman, Denette, whom I have gotten to know a bit via Twitter has given me some great tips.  She is a fearless woman that completed her first competition at the age of 42.  Talk about inspirational!  She was kind enough to send me a link to an Etsy store that makes custom Figure Competitor suits.

I need opinions!  What color, fabric, and style should I go with?

These are the styles that I like best:

Green Bikini

Pretty standard and classy...if a bikini can be called that...

Bedazzled Red Bikini

Lots of bedazzlement. Too much?

Bedazzled Blue Bikini

A bit more understated, but still has panache.

Plain Pink Bikini

Or just go plain and hope my fake tan works it's magic?

These are the colors and fabrics that I am thinking about:

dark burgundy velvet with silver glitter

Regal, yet sassy.

Black Velvet

Classy. The Queen's choice if she were a Figure Competitor.

burgundy crushed velvet

Sophisticated with a twist.

Hot pink velvet

Confident. VERY confident.

Royal Blue Velvet

Calm and serene with a fierce edge.

You can look at all the bikinis and color and fabric options, just in case you don’t like what I’ve narrowed the field down to.

I should order something soon, but definitely need some opinions.  What do you think?  I need all the help I can get!

Some days I still can’t believe I am going to do this…!

Red – go for bedazzle…You’re in a bikini on stage, probably not the time to understate anything…!! Love the blog!

  2. You can never have too much sparkle. Definitely do NOT buy the plain suit unless you’re planning on jeweling it. For color – choose something that goes well with your hair and eyes. Remember you’ll have a dark tan too.

My choice would be the standard and classy bedazzles with the regal burgundy color! Yikes that is a small bikini bottom!

  4. I like the first bikini, standard and classy..with a few bedazzles, in the first color..regal yet sassy….I think Leanne and I are voting for the same suit..go team cuz’!
