Phonetically Speaking

I am disturbed by many things in life. Things that I wish could be fixed in a moment’s notice: poverty, child prostitution, racism, hate, greed, platinum blond hair, short shorts, cellulite, and a host of other things.
But today I am quite disturbed that phonetics isn’t spelled phonetically. Somehow, this just isn’t right. This word is officially a hypocrite. It tells you one thing, but does another. I never thought it possible for a word to be a hypocrite, but today phonetics has proven me wrong.
Anyone else disturbed by this?

I have ALWAYS been disturbed by that.
Oh good. I had the epiphany at about 10:30 this morning, and I couldn’t stop thinking about it. It’s completely ridiculous if you ask me!
