Shoe-riffic

I have 3 pairs of red boots, 12 pairs of black high heels, and 23 other pairs of shoes I can’t part with.  I just purchased 4 new pairs of ‘can’t live without’ shoes while in New York.  I just can’t help myself!  Despite knowing better, I put them on and fell in love with them as only a woman can do.

The intense feeling women have for their shoes confounds men.  Most men don’t understand the need for more than 4 pairs of shoes – a dress shoe, a running shoe, a black shoe, and a brown shoe.  Anything more than that is just complete excess in their opinion.  It is not uncommon for a woman that is with a ‘non-shoe’ man to put her shoes into ‘shoe protection services’.  These shoes are put back into their boxes and hidden in nondescript places throughout the house such as behind the washing machine, on the top shelf of the pantry, or in the deep freeze.  Many women will go to great lengths to save their shoes.  At a time when deemed safe, the shoes are brought of out hiding.  If asked directly about the shoes, the woman can freely say, “These old things?  They’ve been hanging around for years!”.

Shoes don’t cast judgment if you are a little ‘fluffy’ from eating a whole carton of ice cream for supper.  They always fit, always look cute, require no ironing, and travel with you on the journey of life.

Women need air, water, love, shoes, and chocolate, and not necessarily in that order.

Yes, men will never understand. Heck, a little mystery is a good thing.

My biggest problem is I have shoes I love and want to wear more but they need a particular look: know what I mean? I have this adorable pair of high-heeled clogs (brown) with sheepskin trim – so cute, but I haven’t worn them in awhile. Have to come up with an outfit SOON.

  Mystery makes a woman fabulous, thus we all need more shoes. RIght…

  I totally know what you mean. I have some sheepskin trimmed, platform, pointy toed, brown heels and heck as if I know what to wear them with. I mostly try them on at home and ponder the possibilities. I also must find an outfit to go with them soon!

  Sounds like a shopping trip is in order for both of us!
